About Me

My Background

I’m Olga, founder of Health & Life. I have worked in the healthcare field for more than eighteen years, across different contexts and countries.

From the very beginning of my professional path, I realised that human health was far more complex than what I had been taught.

I especially remember the first years of my clinical practice, when I carried out home visits with people living with advanced chronic conditions. Most of them were older adults living alone, without a close support network.

During these visits, we often had long conversations while treatment was taking place. They spoke to me about their fears, past experiences and the difficulties of their everyday life.

Unexpectedly, after a few months, I began to observe clear changes in their physical and emotional state, without any prior modification to the prescribed medical treatment.

Some colleagues asked me what I had done differently. I did not yet have a theoretical answer, but that experience made me realise that active listening, human connection and dialogue can have a significant influence on the overall outcome of a treatment.

That concern became the beginning of a long search which, over the years, has helped shape the Health & Life project.

How I Work

Health & Life works from an integrative health and psychology perspective, focused on understanding how the body and mind take part in the regulation of health.

This method takes into account that a physical or emotional imbalance rarely depends on one single factor. The way a person lives, their emotional state and the body’s biological response can influence how symptoms appear and how they evolve.

For this reason, guidance is only offered after carefully understanding each person’s situation, since the same symptom can arise from different realities.

The aim is to provide personalised and coherent support, with clear priorities and realistic changes. When a medical plan is already being followed, this work can complement the process by adapting current physical and nutritional habits, in coordination with your doctor, together with emotional support.
